The night had gotten to a fantastic start. With two great matches already into the CWE record books and another eight waiting and rearing to go.
Producer: Get ready they're about to throw it over to us.
The backstage producer had chimed in as he walked behind the camera. The camera which had been set up in front of a backdrop for CWE Mayhem with a CWE interviewer. Sally Smith. Alongside her stood Cyrus Pain one of the six men in the Main Event of the evening. Cyrus fixes his jacket's collar and looks over to Sally.
Cyrus: Hey you ready girly?
Sally nodded and both of them exchanged a grin. The producer counted down from five to zero as the camera goes live out over the arena and over the airwaves.
Matt Matthews: It has been such an exciting night here tonight in Seattle.
"The King" Jimmy Cole jr: And there's only been two matches so far Matthews. ONLY TWO! And there are still eight more of them to go.
Matt Matthews: That's right King and among those eight matches is our Main Event for the CWE World Heavyweight Championship. Speaking of which our very own Sally Smith is backstage now with one of the competitors from that very match. Lets send it over to her right now.
Sally: Thanks Matt and The King. I have with me CWE's own Cyrus Pain. Tonight Cyrus you head into the ring with five other men for the CWE World Title. In a Hell in a Cell match no less your thoughts?
Cyrus: Honestly Sally? I have no thoughts right now. Not one what so ever. You could hold my head up to your ear and here the ocean. Just like any seashell you can find on any beach. No kind of strategy, no game plan, nothing.
Sally: But don't you think not having some kind of strategy will hurt your chances of walking out of Mayhem as Champion?
Cyrus: Will it hurt my chances? Perhaps, then again perhaps not. I've already faced off with three out of the five other guys in this match. There's half of the battle right there I've seen what those three bring to the table and they've seen what I bring. So no really reason to take my dear sweet time out of my life to plot and scheme on a way to beat them. That would be boring and I don't like be bored I like having fun. You know go out have some drinks and party a little. I bet you like to party, eh Sally?
Cyrus playfully bumps Sally with his elbow and winks at her. She started to blush a little.
Cyrus: Aw anyway like I said I just like to have fun. Not like the other guys who try to be all serious all day every day. Like Brandon Payne for example, a guy who seems like he couldn't have fun even if ya paid him. Always going on about "This World, That World, His World Her World. Sounds like he should quit and start writing Dr. Seuss books. Or like Minion who talks like he's more then one person all the time. Hell every time I hear him talk about themselves I tend to start hearing voices in my head.
Cyrus paused for a moment as he acted like he was staring off into space. Sally looked at him for a bit then began to look toward the direction he was. Then out of nowhere Cyrus turned his head and let out a roar scaring the young interviewer.
Cyrus: Haha gotcha. See this interview could have been like all the other boring ones. I stand here and tell you and the people that I'm the best man in this match. How I'll go out there and just be dominate over the others and walk out with the belt. How I'll be the greatest CWE World Champion of all time... But there's noway we can know that, noway at all. So why spend time dwelling on all the different outcomes? Why not live in the moment like it was your last night on Earth and just do what you want? That's what I'm going to do, no plans no strategies just let the moment guide me.
Sally: Well I guess that's a unique away of looking towards such an important match. Well I wish you luck Cyrus here tonight and look forward to the Main Event. And we're going to go ahead and throw it back over to Matt and The King for our next bout.
