The long night had finally came to a close as Mayhem wrapped up. The last thing shown on camera was the newly crowned CWE Champion hoists his hands high in victory. His new prize safely hugging his waste. The defeated are all standing outside of the ring giving him his time in the spot light. Some of them not pleased with how the way the nightmare known as Hell in a Cell had ended. Others clapped in unison along with the live CWE crowd. One of the few that was clapping was Cyrus. Happy for one that it wasn't him that was pinned but also that someone new had the belt. As the fans continued to cheer their new Champion Cyrus slowly made his way out of the cage. He walked around to the other side where the time keeper's table was and grabbed a mic. Sticking in his pants pocket Cyrus began to scale the Cell all the way to the top. Biding his time he walked the length of the cage for a few minutes. The Cell started to empty as the other men one by one began exiting until all but the Champ was left. Then finally he too had left after being through with celebrating. Cyrus who was now sitting down on the cage while he waited made his way back to the ground. Once down the Cell was lifted to the rafters as Cyrus rolled into the ring. By this time a lot of the crowd were getting up to leave as Cyrus tried grabbing their attention.
Whoa whoa, before you all decide to get going I'd like to say a few words.
As he spoke a large number of the crowd began turn back towards the ring. Some cheers broke out but was brought to an end as Cyrus motioned with his hands to settle down.
Like I said I have a few things to say and I wanted to address them here for this awesome Seattle crowd. *more cheers* On behalf of the guys and girls in the back and the rest of CWE I'd like to say thank you. For your great support of the product and the continued support of us superstars. wait scratch that, us Wrestlers. *a louder cheer broke out followed by "No, Thank You" one* Whether you like us or don't, it's because of you all that we're even in this business. Because of you that we are able to move on and keep going.
Cyrus paused as he was trying to fight to find the words he wanted to say. Once he collected himself he went on.
But sadly there are times when not even such a great amount of support can stop time from taking it's toll. I've been doing this since I was fourteen years old along side my big brother Hayden. Who happens to be here tonight with his wife and two lovely kids. Stand up brother and wave to the people here.
The giant formally known as Hades of The Asylum stood up. Waving a rather large hand around for the people to see before taking a seat again.
He was force to retire from the ring early last year do to health problems. Two of our friends who are also here tonight the Pacific Northwest's own Cruz Corona and Joseph Guy aka former CWE wrestler Bag Guy Joe. Both of them talented young men who do to health reasons had to call it quits. Come on guys stand up and take a bow.
Both men stood up and to the people and took a few bows.
This business takes it's toll on us all. Either cutting us down in our prime or seeing us through to the end. An end where we're just to tried and run down to keep going. But we're willing to go that long because we love it. And we know that you love it. But that end does come and it hurts to say it... My end is now.
Shock hit the crowd quick.
When CWE closed last year it left a bad taste in my mouth. There was no closure to anything what so ever. A bunch of men and women sent packing because they were out of a job. I went back home to Arizona and spent my time getting use to at home life. Got to see my family more got to spend more time with my girlfriend. Generally enjoying my time away from the ring. Deep down yeah I missed it but I was in no real hurry to get back into the thick of things. When word hit that CWE was coming back I came back. Only after I dragged my feet for a few weeks by working in the back. But working the back wasn't fun, it wasn't what I got into the business for. Then finally I came back to the ring only to realize that I just didn't feel it anymore. I just couldn't feel that rush of coming out here and performing in front of all of you. So a few weeks ago I walked into the G.M.'s office and asked for my release. I asked for tonight to be my last night so I could leave on a high note. I'm just glad I was able to share my last match here with you all in Seattle.
Cyrus pauses as cheers and applause broke out among the people in the crowd. He was finding it hard keeping his cool so not wasting anymore time he went on.
Before I go I'd like to say thank you one more time. I'll miss you all.
Cyrus placed the mic down on the canvas and rolled out of the ring. He walked over to where his family were seated giving them all hugs as he passed down the line. Corona and Joe were next and he shook both their hand. And at the end of the line his girlfriend Beatrix. He hugged her tight and pulling her over the barricade places her down beside him. Cyrus placed is arm around Beatrix's shoulders and they both made their way to the backstage area.
