The Toronto Sun is featuring an interview with Hulk Hogan where he comments on the upcoming three-hour January 4 edition of TNA Impact that will go head-to-head with WWE Monday Night Raw.
"It's a creative executive position ... Jan. 4, we're going head to head with WWE. We've got to pick a fight. I don't know what's going to happen that night. If we get bodyslammed by WWE, we'll get back and go at them again.
What we have now is the writers telling the wrestlers what to say and do. I'm coming in to push the writers aside. Sure, they still have to make it flow and block time.
If the wrestlers need a writer to tell them what to do, they can pack their bags and go north to WWE. Writers don't have a feel and instinct for the business. They've never been in the ring. If I can't make it work, I'll pack my bags and leave."

Hulk Hogan telling it like it is eh? First off he couldn't even follow a script, and wasn't that part of WCW's downfall because Hogan wanted the title all of the time. Also then you have creative freedom or creative control which in the wrestling business is a very bad thing. One thing wrong with wrestling today is all of the old wrestlers in it hogging the spotlight, which I am certain Hogan will hog the TNA title more than Angle did. He says he isn't sure if he will wrestle or not but I am certain if he does he'll get himself title matches. So any hopes of awesome matches in TNA's main events can go down the pan. Rumors that Flair might sign also... At the risk of sounding ageist but I really don't think having a roster full of old has beens that are near crippled. I mean if TNA want to do that why not sign Bret Hart as I am sure that even post stroke he can pull out better matches than Hogan could. I can touch on something that Hogan should have said. TNA needs to drop their soap segments and focus on wrestling. I mean the last time I tuned in to TNA I am surprised I last 25 minutes of bad soap segments and just to see a crappy 5 minute match. When I say crappy I mean no disrespect to the performers, but 5 mins including entrances also that is makes it maybe 3 minute matches and it is rediculous. Give them 15 - 20 minutes for a main event and showcase why TNA could be a threat. I said this a year ago or more that the X-Division could be TNA's selling point and with the Knockout Division improving that there could be two things that TNA would have over WWE. However they go with "Star Power" with old guys who were past it before they even signed for TNA. I know that seemed like a typical anti TNA rant, but they have potential to rival WWE and I'll be honest they don't need Hogan or Flair to do it. Just some common sense. Also they won't win the ratings war on that monday because they are having the show re-run on thursday so I imagine most wrestling fans will watch RAW and then catch the re-run of TNA. So that defeats the head to head aspect. Also Hogan blew his knee out getting DOWN on the couch now if that isn't a sign he shouldn't wrestle anymore then XD I don't know what is.
