Finished with the evening's in-ring festivities, and nursing another sore neck from taking Violet's underhook piledriver-like move (yet again), Angel has changed out of her ring gear and is now ready to relax. Sporting a short leather skirt, knee high black boots and a well-worn and faded Cannibal Corpse concert T-shirt, she leaves the locker room and heads out into the front lobby of the building. Her destination, and intentions, become crystal clear as she strolls up to the entrance to Lucky's Bar. She takes a deep breath, rubs the back of her aching neck and proceeds into the establishment.
The bartender and a few of the patrons notice her instantly as the door swings open. One kid, a starstruck fan, can tell it's her even without her face paint and ring attire on. He jumps down off of his chair and timidly walk over toward Angel. He scrambles to get out a pen and snatches a napkin off of the bar, asking clumsily for her auotgraph. Angel ignores her soreness for just a moment, smiling and letting out a soft giggle as she asks what the boy's name is. She signs and hands the napkin back to her wide-eyed admirer. The boy looks down at the napkin and a huge silly grin comes across his face as he turns around and walks back to his table.
With her attention now freed up, the bartender waits for Angel to find her seat. Angel decides to sit toward the back of the bar at a booth with a lamp hanging down from the ceiling to provide a dull light over the long table. As the bartender walks out from behind the bar and makes her way over to Angel to take her drink order, Angel finishes digging around in her handbag and looks up just in time to make eye contact. When asked what she'll have, Angel leans her cheek against her hand and thinks hard for a few moments...
Hmm....I really need something to take the edge off. Got anything back there that mixes well with Percocet, baby?[/b]
The bartender looks startled and advises Angel that mixing alcohol and prescription drugs is NOT good for you! Angel laughs back at her...I'm just fucking with you, blondie! Take a chill pill.
I think I'm gonna have my usual. One RedRum, STAT![/b]
The bartender remembered Angel's favorite drink from the last time she was there in the bar. She nods with a confident smile and leaves to go make the drink. Angel sits, looking around the room at the other customers, playfully waving and flirting back to the occasional fanboy (or girl) who might flash a knowing glance in her direction. Her mood is improving by the minute! The bartender comes back in no time and Angel forks over a $10, telling the bartender to keep the change. Pleasantly shocked, the bartender takes the money and walks away, looking back with a smile at her new "favorite" customer.
Angel sits, taking down half of her drink in one gulp. The sweet flavor and warming effect of the concoction begin to soothe her and make her even more relaxed. Just then, Angel remembers something else she has in her purse and gets the urge to take it out and have a little fun. She's gonna be there as long as the booze keeps flowing and the boys keeps gawking from the shadows.
Angel reaches around in her purse, seeming almost unable to find what she's looking for. Ends up, it was in the side pouch! She takes it out and places it on the table. She takes the black silk cloth off of it and reveals the item to be a deck of Tarot cards. Angel clears off a spot on the table in front of her and begins to lay the cards out....one by one.
Suddenly, she feels another set of eyes on her from across the room....
