Results, followed by a review from me. This is something I plan to do from here on out. Give you a bit of insight from my PoV as I saw the matches/segments go down. My reviews will be as unbiased as possible. I plan to keep an open mind and examine each portion of the show to give you guys something to think about or to chew on.
My reviews will always be welcomed to both responses and/or criticism. I'm not expecting everyone to agree with me on everything. So if you see me flaming a match or a promo that I thought was bad ? Don't take it personally or get too bent out of shape over it, lol. I'm only doing these because:
A): I love wrestling, and I'm very passionate about the sport.
B): I like to review things
C): Entertainment purposes
So without any further ado. Here is the results from last nights RAW. Followed by my review of the show.
First off, before I get started. I plan to review each match under a 5 star rating scale. 5 being the best, 1 being the worst as shown below.
***** = Excellent
**** = Good
*** = Average
** = Poor
* = Horrible
Now that we have this all out of the way. Lets get started, shall we ?
The 2010 Royal Rumble winner, Edge, came out to the stage and waltzed down to the ring. He said he was back and that took us on a little jaunt six years ago. Back to when he won the tag titles and got injured. He said while he was on the shelf he saw Chris Jericho making light of his injury and the room he was sitting in got silent. He said it got silent because he made himself a promise he would make it to the Rumble. He said he promised himself that he’d prove the doctors wrong. He said Jericho might have his Slammy right now, but Edge has his ticket to Wrestlemania and the option to wrestle whomever he wanted.
Edge said two years ago he faced the Undertaker and lost. He said unlike HBK, if he wanted the Dead man, he could have him. He said on the other hand though, would be about opportunity.. Maybe facing a guy who had never competed at Wrestlemania might be smarter. Edge said he was going to take his time picking his opponent…
WWE Champion Sheamus came down to the ring and said Edge had better watch his mouth. He said he beat Cena and Orton easily. He said Edge shouldn’t even make him break a sweat. They went back and forth before Sheamus cheap shotted him. He missed the bicycle kick only for Edge to hit him with a big spear.

William Shatner came out and introduced Bret Hart.
Hart said he came back a few weeks ago to make peace. He said tonight, he wasn’t looking for that. He was here to confront McMahon. After a brief wait, Vince came strutting out and sauntered down to the ring.
Vince said he had a few things to get off his chest as well. Vince said he doesn’t regret anything he’s ever done to him. Bret called him the world’s greatest liar. He ran down the laundry list of lies Vince told him through the years. He said Cena described Vince as pathetic last week. Bret said he knew all about pathetic. He said 8 years ago he was in a wheel chair sick. He said day by day, he found the courage and got past it. He said he cried himself to sleep sometimes at night feeling pathetic. Hart said to himself he’d never feel pathetic for the rest of his life.
Then he came here. For all the right reasons.
He said Vince kicked him in the gut and left him there feeling pathetic. Bret said for 14 years he worked for him, wrapped up his injured knees and worked every night thinking Vince would appreciate it someday. He said Vince didn’t appreciate it. He said what took him 20 years to build up what it took Vince three minutes to tear down. He said Vince called him chewing gum that lost its flavor… he said there was just enough flavor to kick Vince’s ass.
Vince called all of Hart’s self-imposed names a crock. Vince said he wasn’t a hero to anyone. Vince said he didn’t get what people saw in him. He thought Bret WAS pathetic. He said Bret had zero personality. He said if it wasn’t for others who had personality, he’d be nothing but a foot note. He said Bret had no charisma. He had no command of the English language. He said he has that hound dog looking face. He said he has that stringy, crappy hair. He said he’s even dressed like a hobo. He said what Bret doesn’t understand that he deserved to be screwed. He said last time they were together face to face and Vince wanted to nominate Stu for the hall of fame. But he said he wasn’t going to induct him this year because he didn’t deserve it.
Hart snapped and pounced on McMahon beating him to the mat and smashing him with uppercuts to the face. He went for a sharpshooter only to get blindsided by Batista. Batista went for what looked like a Batista bomb, only for Hart to call him off it a bit. Batista audibled and hit a flurry of body shots and held Bret up so the now-recovered Vince could spit in his face. That’s how we left it.

My Review:
First off, I'd like to say R.I.P Jack Brisco. He, along with his brother Jerry (Gerald) Brisco was one of the greatest tag
teams of all time. According to some news resports. He passed away after complications from Open Heart Surgery at the age
of 68. Interesting note to pass along too in light of this tragic loss. Jack was the first Native American ever to win a
NCAA Wrestling National Championship in 1965. I know this may come off as an irrelevant fact in light of his death. But it is
something I didn't know about him that I felt I should share with the rest of you.
Well we open up RAW with Edge coming down to ringside. I couldn't help but notice how the fans reacted. They seemed a little
bit confused. Not sure whether they should cheer or boo him. But I think overall. He got a slightly more postiive reaction
from the fans. Either way, I'm glad to see him back.
So Edge starts out. Retelling the fans what had happened to him many months ago and how Jericho trashed him back at the
Slammy Awards. After hearing Jericho's comments. He vowed to return to action before WrestleMania as he wasn't about to miss
another one. As he had missed two of them in the past due to injury. Going on to say he could face The Undertaker again and
attempt to break his streak. Or would the smart thing to do would be to face Sheamus. Who had never wrestled, much less main
evented a WrestleMania event ? Either that way it goes. He says that the Rated R Superstar was going to headline WrestleMania.
Sheamus then comes out afterwords. This is where things begin to get a bit interesting.
First of all, I laughed very hard at the 'evil Ronald McDonald' joke . I find the joke as a bit ironic as well. As it seems that
Edge, much less anyone who faced Sheamus in the past are taking him seriously. Even though week in, week out. He's taken out
everyone that has challenged him. From John Cena, to Evan Bourne, to Randy Orton last night at the Rumble. Though I think at
the same time. For the exception of his victory against Evan Bourne. His victories have came from some type of outside
interference. So, in a way I can see why it could be hard to jump on the Sheamus bandwagon since he really hasn't defeated
any major superstars cleanly. Sans the botched ending to his WWE Title victory over Cena at TLC a couple months ago. But that's
another story for another day.
Overall, I thought this was a nice little exchange between the two men. But I think if you one were to be keeping score at
home. Edge pretty much owned Sheamus throughout the whole segment. Both made some valid points. But I felt that Edge had
somewhat of an advantage. As he had already beaten the likes of John Cena several times, and had some history with Orton.
So anyways. Sheamus takes a cheap shot at Edge. Edge counters, and starts beating the crap out of him. Ultimately getting the
upper hand at the very end with a big spear.
I think it safe to say for now that Edge is going to be a babyface for a little while. Which is a good thing. As I felt his
heel run was getting stale and his character needed to go in a different direction. Besides folks. He hasn't been a face
since mid 2004. So that's quite a long time that we've seen the fans get behind Edge.
Segment Rating: ***1/2 stars
Next, we have our first match of the evening. An Elimination Chamber Qualifying Match as John Cena faces Cody Rhodes. The
fans tonight were behind Cena, as he received a huge pop from them. Nice little match overall. Cena went over Rhodes as
expected after an Attitude Adjustment. Pretty much your typical Cena-esque type of matchup. Not that its a bad thing or
anything like that lol. But Rhodes did dominate most of the match up until the end where Cena began his big comeback as we
usually see from him. No complaints here from me. Wasn't a classy match, but served its purpose of Cena going over and having
some momentum heading into next week. Which he needed after coming so close to winning the Royal Rumble match last night.
Match Rating: *** stars
Then we have a backstage segment where Josh Matthews approaches Mr. McMahon. Asking if he's seen Bret Hart tonight ? Vince
replied that he doubts that he, or anyone would see bret tonight. From there, Vince proceeds to his dressing room. When
judging by his reaction. Someone was in there waiting for him. Presumingly Bret 'The Hitman' Hart. But instead, its tonight's
guest host William Shatner. Who says speaking on behalf of all Canadians & human beings around the world. He can't wait to
see Bret humiliate Vince tonight. Vince got a bit ticked after that obviously. Muttering that Shatner was a lousy guest host.
In my honest opinion. Vince was right on that one. More on that in a bit, folks .
Segment Rating: **1/2 stars
Next match. we have yet another Elimination Chamber Qualifying Matchup. The 'All American American' Jack Swaggers goes one-on
-one with 'The Game' Triple H. I felt this was a better match then our previous Cena/Rhodes battle. But at the same type. Felt
kinda the same too. Swagger dominated Triple H throughout most of the bout until Triple H made the comeback at the end.
Capitalizing on Swagger's arrogance and hitting the Pedigree for the 3 count. Nice victory for 'The Game' after a lousy finish
for him during the Rumble match.
Match Rating: ***1/2 stars
Randy Orton vs Shawn Michaels is announced as our next Elimination Qualifying Match (Yes !!!)
Next segment, we see William Shatner failing to be funny as he does a very bad attempt at singing some of the wrestler's theme
music. I did laugh at a few of them. But overall, this was a very pointless & stupid segment. Note to WWE: Leave the funny
business to comedians, m'kay ?
"Boo...Ya...Ka !" Yeah... thats about all i got to say about the above .
Segment Rating: * star
After watching Hornswoggle act retarded for a few seconds. We see Triple H giving Shawn Michaels a bit of a pep talk backstage
in there locker room. Find it hilarious how Triple H seemed to be so forgiving of Shawn for eliminating him last night.
Perhaps since 'The Game' is now in the Chamber match. He is essentially getting a 2nd chance. So that could be part of the
reason for passing off the incident as being no big deal.Anyways, Trips. tells Shawn to stop being obssessed about ending
Taker's streat. Saying that he needs to focus on tonight & beating Orton for a spot in the Elimination Chamber.
Segment Rating: **1/2 stars
From here, we move on to our next match as previously advertised. Randy Orton vs Shawn Michaels for another spot in the
Elimination Chamber match. Very nice match, which goes without saying given that both Orton & Michaels have a good chemistry
in the ring together. Not as exciting as there past bouts. But I feel it was a great 'TV Match' that didn't get butchered by
commericial breaks. Ending was good, though it did come out of nowhere. Michaels is shown being frustrated afterwords, and
rightfully. With Orton in, and Michaels out. Leaves to question what will Shawn be doing during the Elimination Chamber PPV
now ? if anything, lol. I like the direction there taking Shawn with this. How far will his obession take him ? Will it cause
him to eventually crack & lose his mind ? Or will he find a way to face the Undertaker at WrestleMania and fullfill his goal
of being 'the guy' to end the deadman's streak ?
Match Rating: **** stars
Next up, we have Orton & Dibiase backstage. Dibiase tries to apologize to Orton for last night. Orton seemingly doesn't want
to hear his excuses and walks off. Obviously, some tension between the two as the cracks begin to take shape over The Legacy.
Which looks like there run will be coming to a close between now and WrestleMania. Quick little segment to further along the
obvious desension within' the group.
Segment Rating: **1/2 stars
From there, we go onto our next Elimination Chamber Qualifying matchup. Ted Dibiase vs Mark Henry. Which is an interesting
matchup. One of those that could easily go in either direction. I think Henry did a good job of selling the injured arm
throughout the matchup. I felt the ending though was just... there lol. To me, I felt Dibaise should have won the match by
submission. Maybe using some type of armbar submission hold. Since he couldn't apply the Million Dollar Dream, or his Dream
Street finisher to Henry. Maybe I'm being a bit nit picky on this one. But, why in the world would Henry get pinned after a
single arm DDT ? lol. Just doesn't make sense at all. Again, not a bad match. But I felt the finish was horrible. I think it
was good to see Dibiase get into the Chamber match. Certainly, he will be the big wild card in that matchup.
Match Rating: ** stars
A nice, fitting tribute to Jack Brisco followed afterwords. Kudos to WWE on that.
Next we see Maryse, Gail Kim and Kelly Kelly backstage. Maryse puts down the SmackDown diva's. Taking aim at Mickie James &
Michelle McCool. Telling Gail Kim that they should put on a good show for everybody. I'm going to remain optimistic and feel
that both Maryse & Gail will actually give us A MATCH to watch instead of what we saw last night with Mickie James & Michelle
McCool. Which was a big waste of time in my view and a segment that really should have been saved for the previous SmackDown
episodes. But, that's another story for another day I suppose.
Segment Rating: ** stars
Another segment followed with a HUGE match announced by William Shatner. The Miz & Big Show are relaxing & discussing some
things. Miz takes a shot at William Shatner and wants Shatner to give them a Unified Tag Title shot against DX. Then, the
Straight Edge Society walks into the room & interrupts them. Punk bitches about Teddy Long screwing them out of there title
shot and how they should be the ones to face DX instead. Shatner walks in, and we get a stupid "Match Negotiater" thingy lol.
A play off his new commercial obviously. But to Shatner's credit. He announces an huge Triple Threat match for next week. DX
defending there Tag Team Titles agaisnt Miz & Big Show, and CM Punk & Luke Gallows. Should be an exciting match to watch.
Then Shatner acts like an idiot and smiles in front of the camera while mumbling 'freeze frame'. Yeah... whatever, lol.
Segment Rating: *** stars
Next we get another DX promo. Almost a repeat from there last segment. Except for Triple H saying that Shawn Michaels doesn't
need The Undertaker to be 'Mr. WrestleMania'. Which, by the end of the segment. As Lawler said, a light bulb seem to go off
in Shawn's head after that comment. Maybe they will go in a different direction with Shawn rather then a Taker/Michaels
rematch ? Who knows lol. Only time will tell I guess.
Segment Rating: ** stars
After going a little 'segment' crazy. We move onto our main event of the evening. And essentially, the last of the Elimination
Chamber Qualfying matches. Kofi Kingston vs Big Show (oh boy, lol). And well, where should I begin. This match was just plain
weird. Not bad in a sense. I think Kofi did the best he could do with The Big Show. But the ending was just very odd. Since
when did Big Show start acting like a baby and apologizing for knocking the referee out ? lol. Seemed a bit out of place
really and I just didn't really get it. On the plus side. Show did do a good job of making Kofi look good. Though I'm still
convinced that Kofi is a bit overrated. I just dont' see him as a 'main event' type of guy. But anyways, thats about all I
have to say on this one.
Oh, and on a more positive note. At least we did get to see Miz & MVP go at it again. Here's hoping for a rematch between
those two men at the Elimination Chamber event.

So then, we get to the moment we've all been waiting. The showdown between Bret 'The Hitman' Hart & Mr. McMahon. First off,
Jerry Lawler introduces William Shatner to ringside. He thanks the crowd and the WWE for letting him host the show before
introducing Bret Hart to the crowd. All I gotta say. Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out, Shatner. He was
defenitly a big disappointment for tonight's show.
Anyways, back business at hand. Bret comes out. Gets a good reaction from the fans. But I felt the crowd was a little dead at
this point after the last several segments. As Bret didnt' seem to get anywhere near the same reaction he had about a month
ago. I kinda blame this more on the WWE then Bret himself. Seemingly because the show towards the end just started to
downhill in a way.
So Bret gets on the microphone. Says he came out a month ago with open arms and tried to do the right thing after 12 years. By
letting everything go, and wanting to move on from the Montreal Screwjob. He calls out Vince, and tells him to get his ass out
here. Threatning to go back there & find him if he doesn't do so.
Vince comes out and does this funny little strut/dance before doing his power walk to the ring (hilarious !). McMahon gets
on the microphone. Says he didn't regret anything he ever did to Bret. Bret replies by saying Vince is the world's greatest
liar. After saying that was the most honest thing Vince has ever said to him. Followed by saying when it came to lying. Vince
was 'the best there is, best there was, best there ever will be'. Bret says that Vince couldn't lace up his father's jockstrap
(Damn ! Bret's on a roll tonight isn't he ? lol)
Bret then goes on to talk about the word pathetic. Saying he knows all about that after having his stroke & sitting in his
wheel chair some 8 years ago. feeling pathetic and crying himself to sleep. Promising himself that he would one day walk again
and not feel pathetic ever again. Telling Vince when he came back. He offered him his hand and wanted a truce. But instead,
Vince kicked him in the gut (could've sworn it was a low blow ).
Bret says Vince didn't appreaciate a damn thing he ever did for him over the years. Took him 20+ years to build a reputation
that Vince took only 3 mins to destroy. Bret also responds to Vince's earlier remark of Bret being like a piece of old
chewing gum that has lost its flavor. By saying that this old stick of chewing gum still has enough flavor to kick his ass. (classic !).
After that, Vince gets on the microphone again and starts putting Bret down. Even going so far as to take a cheap shot at Stu
Hart. Which sends Bret into a frenzy as he attacks Vince. From out of nowhere. Batista shows up and attacks Bret. Then holds
him up for Vince to talk some more trash to him and ultimately spit in his face (as payback from the Screwjob). And well,
thats how we end the show.
Easily, this was the strongest (and best) 'segment' of the evening. But... I felt the ending fell a little flat. They teased
Bret putting The Sharpshooter on Vince. Which I am glad that didn't have Bret do it just yet. I didn't understand why Batista
was sent down to attack Bret. It was random & out of place. Obviously, this was done to lure out Cena. But I feel that
ultimately. They should've kept the feuds seperate between Cena/Batista & Vince/Bret instead of what WWE is trying to do,
and thats sorta combine the two feuds together.
So all in all. I dont' think the showdown quite lived up to the hype. Had the ending a bit better. Maybe it could have. But
overall, it was pretty good & still worth checking out.

Final Thoughts:
I felt RAW was decent at best. They had some good moments on the show. But overall, it was weird in spots. Alot of things still
remain unanswered. Though it leaves to speculation of what possible directions each storyline can go to. Edge vs Sheamus SEEMS
like a lock as of right now for WrestleMania. Though of course, this isn't set in stone. But certainly a situation that WWE is
teasing as a possibility.
The Elimination Chamber Matchup for the RAW portion of the upcoming PPV is looking to be very interesting. I like the choices of who will
be in the match. I still believe Sheamus will come out victorious in that bout. But I think if anything. The match will be used
as a tool to kickstart some feuds that we'll see develop as we keep moving forward towards WrestleMania 26. Such Orton vs Dibiase.
Which appears to be the direction WWE will go with. Perhaps throwing Cody Rhodes in there as a 'middle man' or someone who could
get involve in the match at WM and have to make a choice between the leader of Legacy, Randy Orton or his tag team partner in
Ted Dibiase.
As I commented earlier on. I'm loving the direction WWE is taking with Shawn Michaels. I do hope that it ends with another
Michaels vs Undertaker match for WrestleMania. Either with, or without a World Heavyweight Championship on the line. With the
Tag Titles Match announced for next week. I think its safe to say that DX will coming to an end for a while. Seeing Michaels
& HHH go there seperate ways. I predict that Punk & Gallows will win the belts. Since they seem to be the more 'over' team of
the 3 competeting. From that loss, Triple H would become fed up with Michaels and leave him high & dry. Maybe not necessarly
turning heel in the process. But it would show the price of Michaels' obession. That in his quest to be the guy who kills The
Undertaker's winning streak. He's also wrecking havoc in his own life around him. Drifting apart from his best friend, and
perhaps even the fans as this scenario continues to develop.
I really don't have much more to say on the Bret Hart/Mr. McMahon other then what was already commented on above. Though I
would like to believe we'll see Bret vs Vince at WrestleMania. This could go in other directions as well. We could see Batista
vs Cena. As a way of 'representing' both Vince & Bret at the WrestleMania PPV (ala, Trump vs McMahon from several years ago). OR,
we could see a tag match. Batista & McMahon on one side, Cena & Bret on the other. Letting Cena & Batista do most of the work
with Bret & Vince hammering it out on each other on the side. Bret wouldn't have to take too many bumps and neither men would
really have to get too involved in the match except for maybe the ending.
So that about raps it up for RAW. Overall, I think it was an okay show. Not what I was expecting, but it did have some good
moments and I feel that alot of different sceanarios can play out. Since nothing was really answered from the Royal Rumble.

Hope you guys enjoyed my review. As always, my reviews will be open for comments or if you'd like to submit your own review ?
By all means, go for it lol. I'm looking forward to reviewing ECW on SyFy. Look for that to be posted sometime early tomorrow
morning
Since
