At the Jingle Bell Bash PPV, the Seattle crowd has witnessed one of the biggest upsets of the year, Danny Richerdson was able to defeat Ryan Matthews for the CWE Rampage Championship. After the match, Matthews rolled out of the ring and began to walk up the entrance ramp with his head down and his hands to his hips, looking disappointed in himself after his devastating loss. Before he walks through the backstage curtain, he looks back to the ring and sees two unknown women wearing G-strings, nipple pasties, and thigh-high boots dancing in the ring; and Danny Richerdson with the title strapped to his waist, spraying the two strippers with a champagne bottle, and chugging the remains of the champagne while being grinded by one of the strippers. Matthews looks away with a disgruntled look on his face as he walks through the backstage curtain, where he is immediately greeted by two tall, muscular dark-skinned security guards who go by the names of Mr. Black, and Mr. Blue, they like to call themselves "Black & Blue Security". They are the right-hand men, and the most trusted security guards of CWE Owner Shane Andrews.
The Boss wants to see you. He has some important news that he would like to share with you.
When the Boss wants to talk to you, right now would be a good time to drop everything that you had planned for after your match, and come see him right away.
Follow us. We'll escort you to his office.
*Matthews follows Black & Blue Security into Shane Andrews' temporary office in the CWE Arena's skybox, where he is sitting on the couch in the middle, watching the remainder of the CWE PPV on a mounted flat screen monitor located on the other side of the room.*
Ryan Matthews is here, boss.
Ah, Mr. Matthews! I'm glad to see you. Have a seat- sit wherever you like.
*Sits on the couch on the left-hand side*
So how are you feeling tod-- never mind, I don't want to ask you that question because I already know what your answer is going to be. You know, I never got to sit down and have a drink with you, since you were always busy training at the gym, and I tend not to bother people when they are in the middle of their workout routine. Would you like a drink? I can tell that you're a beer person, so maybe that will help make you feel better.
*Signals the bartender*
Hey, Jeremy, fill up a mug for our guest, he needs something to cheer him up.
*The bartender walks to the bar and fills up a mug of beer and places it on Matthews' side of the table.*
Alright, so where were we.. yes, it was quite unfortunate that you lost your Rampage Championship earlier tonight, but you shouldn't feel bad about it at all. I mean, look at the positives about your title reign, you were a very, VERY dominant champion during your reign.
But I lost..
You have survived battle royals to protect that title, you have survived Inferno matches to protect that title, and you have survived a steel cage match against a former RCWF World Heavyweight Champion to protect that title.
But I lost..
If my memory is correct, I'm willing to bet money that you were one of the longest-reigning Rampage Champions in CWE history. You shouldn't feel bad about losing the belt tonight. Throughout 2015, you and Alexander Knight made that belt more prestigious than anyone else who has held that title in the past. That belt has value now, and because of the title reigns that you two had this year, Rampage is now the hottest ticket in town. Cheers.
*Holds up a glass of champagne with a smile, and urges Matthews to pick up his mug and hold it up with him*
..I lost the goddamn belt, and you called me here just to kiss my ass and remind me that I was a dominant champion? I've been telling people that ever since I won the damn belt. I know I had a long reign with the Rampage Championship. I know I was putting asses in seats, and making money for you ever since I first stepped foot in this damn arena last Summer. You calling me a dominant champion after I lost is starting to make me assume that you're trying to rub the loss in my face and make it seem like Danny will be a better champion than me. He won't last a month with that title, and if I don't win it back anytime soon, all that so-called "prestige" that the title has- will be flushed down the damn toilet.
Mr. Matthews, I understand that you are frustrated over your loss, but that was not the reason why I invited you here. Now, I have some good news for you, and I have some bad news for you.
*clears throat*
I'll start off with the bad news. You will not be able to cash in your rematch clause and face Danny Richerdson for the Rampage Championship anytime soon. Matter of fact, as soon as that clock hits 12AM, you will no longer be in the Rampage Championship division.
*Aggressively gets up from his seat and knocks over his mug, as beer is spilled all over the table, and the carpet. Black & Blue Security, who were standing near the entrance, are quick to rush over to Matthews' and restrain his arms in order to prevent him from getting physical with Shane Andrews*
Are you out of your goddamn mind?! You know I deserve my rematch, and you're trying to sabotage my career and cut me short like I'm some kind of mid-carder? Are you mental?
Mr. Matthews, please, don't interrupt me.. now calm down, I also have some good news for you that might cheer you up. Please sit down.
*The guards slowly loosen their grip, as Matthews slowly sits back down on the couch, with an intense grin on his face, with his eyes locked onto Shane Andrews, as the guards are standing over Matthews closely*
Recently, I have been looking over the ratings and attendence sheets from all three shows, and while Rampage is currently the highest rated show in CWE, Shockwave is the complete opposite right now. While I have signed some new talent and moved them to the Shockwave roster to give them an edge, nothing seems to be helping the brand at all, so I decided that I should make a big move in order to give Shockwave a boost. In other words, the reason why you are no longer in the Rampage Championship division is because I have traded you to Shockwave.
...
...
...
You looked confused. What's on your mind?
... ... How exactly is this good news for me?
I'll explain this some more. You see, my motive for trading you out of everyone else on the Rampage roster was not intended to sabotage your career here in CWE, I traded you because there isn't much star power on the Shockwave roster. Ever since Ace won the World Championship, he hasn't been booked on Shockwave in a while, and Adrian Kincade is trying his best to carry the show right now, but the thing is, there's no real competition for him on the show, so Shockwave is basically the Adrian Kincade & Friends Show, while Rampage is the William James/Ryan Matthews/Danny Richerdson & Friends Show, you know what I mean? Also, do you remember how I was praising you earlier for being a dominant Rampage Champion, and how you contributed to making Rampage the hottest ticket in town? I traded you because I have faith that you can rejuvenate Shockwave and help increase interest in the brand, just like how you were taught when you were on Rampage. You have a huge following, Ryan, and you can use that following to make Shockwave the true competitor that it deserves to be.
So let me get this straight, you traded me because the Shockwave roster doesn't have any good talent? Last time I checked, that's your fault for championing Rampage so much. Let's check out the Shockwave roster, what big-names do they have over there besides Kincade? Nick Nipple, and Francis Dupree. Yeah, those names will put butts in seats.. or seats in butts.. or whatever those two *DUPREE* are into. "Hmm, let's grab all of the throwaway talent that we have on our roster, and we'll toss them into Shockwave, then let's act surprised when people turn away from the show, so we can segregate the Rampage roster into our B-show and take away their rematch clauses for titles that they deserved after they have fought tooth and nail for months, or even years to deserve those titles!" Great planning, Shane! I can see why CWE is the best wrestling show in the state of Washington right now! ..Pfft, now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to head to Lucky's, and decide what the hell I'm going to do in Shockwave. I'll see you next Sunday.
Wait, before you leave, I have to tell you one more thing. I have some more news that I would like to share with you.
Make it quick, Shane.
I have placed you in the Shockwave Championship division. However, since you spilled beer all over my carpet, I am going to punish you, by making you start from the very bottom of the title ranking. So good luck.
Yeah, whatever you say, "Boss."
*Stands up from the couch and gets escorted out of the VIP office by Black & Blue Security*
Did you see the attitude on that guy, Jeremy? It seems like the slightest nudge can really hurt his feelings. Just look what he did to my carpet! Does he realize how much this rug cost?! That's coming out of his bonus for sure.
*Black & Blue Security make their way back into Shane Andrews' office*
We escorted him out of the building, boss.
Good. Mr. Black, Mr. Blue, I'm giving you guys free access to the wrestling room in the gym, because I want the two of you to compete in a handicap match against Ryan Matthews in the next upcoming weeks. He needs to learn from his actions, and the #8 spot on the title ranking isn't enough discipline. Teach him a lesson.
With pleasure, boss.
No problem, boss.
