Lauren had just finished her daily workout, naturally being the successful business woman aside from being a successful wrestler she had a personal gym in the basement. However this wasn’t just your typical dark, dank and wet basement, Lauren had fitted out her gym with all mod cons. It was well lit and had state of the art equipment and mirrors plenty of mirrors not only did it reflect the light but it also reflected her, helped to spot any flaws she needed to work on. Though today Lauren was feeling confident about herself and instead of scrutinizing her appearance she simply admired it and it certainly was a sight to behold. Lauren smiled as she checked herself out if how she looked was anything to go by then Tony was a lucky man.
“Now I look great, I feel great, and I am ready for whatever the day may throw at me.”
Lauren then stepped into the shower, and of course this shower was just offset from the gym. After ten minutes in the shower it was all the time that she needed to clean herself thoroughly, and anything longer was usually because she and Tony were occupied with each other and not on scrubbing away the dirt. Lauren then dried herself before putting on some clean clothes before heading to the kitchen to make herself a cup of black coffee and no sugar. As she prepared the cup and then wondered which blend to have was she in the mood for a rich smooth flavor or something bitter maybe? Lauren chose the blend and popped it into the machine, after a minute of clunks and hisses the coffee poured into the cup to Lauren’s delight.
“Mmmm…
Great as usual now lets take a look at the news.”
Lauren took a seat next to the counter and picked up the newspaper and it took her twenty minutes to read what she wanted, granted she didn’t read everything mainly the business, property and sports pages. By this time she had also finished her coffee and decided it was time she headed into the office, Lauren folded the paper and then placed it on the counter. Lauren then grabbed her keys and a jacket and headed out of the door. Lauren then hurried across her yard to the garage, and with a push of a button on the key fob the doors opened revealing her pride and joy, other than her daughter who she loved very much.
A push of the other button on the key fob and the doors unlocked and Lauren opened the driver’s side and climbed in the car. Inserted the key into the ignition and started the car.
“Oh you are sounding great baby.”
Lauren said before closing the door and pulling out of the garage and onto the driveway, she glanced back and pressed the fob’s button to close the garage doors and then speeding down her drive she went until she approached the gates. Again it was all just a press of a button for them to open and then close, so in next to no time she was loose in the streets of Seattle and about to head to CWE headquarters to meet with The Genius and Shane Andrews. One bad thing about Lauren behind the wheel of a fast car is that speed was a temptation that sometimes she just couldn’t resist, and sometimes she got tickets for speeding as well as parking but those were just lousy people paid to ruin innocent people’s day so Lauren said.
“Great I made good time.”
Lauren arrived at the CWE headquarters and she was there to discuss something with her prospective bosses once again. The last time some personal issues that were now rectified and she was now ready to give them 110% like she had done for companies in the past. However getting to a meeting on time although Lauren left out in plenty of time and arrived 20 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, something would so up as Lauren grabbed her files that she prepared for this meeting she closed the door and locked the car and turned around…
“Oh … ?”
Was there somebody wanting to great her or someone looking to talk a little business?

Well... Well.... Well. Look who it is. Never thought I'd see you again. Its been what ? Two years now since you and I last spoke ? Its been quite a while since these two locked eyes on each other. Genesis, standing there in a business suit. Looking snazzy as ever, sporting black sunglasses as well as he removes them to quickly examine Lauren's fine & curvy figure Gotta say babe, you look as sensational as ever. You must work out even harder them I do.
I'm still a tad bit disappointed in you, Lauren. Leaving me high & dry in New York. Here I thought you and I had a nice 'thing' going on. Guess I was wrong about you.
No matter, past is the past right ? I'm not here to bring up memories past. Matter of fact. I've got a meeting with Shane Andrews to finalize our deal. To put the official 'stamp of approval' to finalize our new business relationship. I had to get the hell out of Atlanta. Too much stress and heartache that I wish to no longer endure anymore. Instead of just jumping to the next 'big thing'. I thought it would be kind of nice to settle for a more isolated, small wrestling promotion. When I read the ad about Cyber Wrestling Entertainment opening up (or rather, re-opening). I thought to myself "This is it ! This is my chance".
A chance ? To give back to the wrestling business.
See Lauren, like yourself. We've both been put in rather awkward positions at times. Always being depended on as the top draws to bring in money & ratings for the big wrestling leagues. Headlining one super card after the other. One huge main event feud after the other. Title shots galore. Those material things sound quite nice. I'll admit it. I'm as greedy as the next superstar when it comes to wanting & thriving on one's own success.
But... there was just something missing. Even I, at this moment in time. Haven't been able to put my finger on what it is.
I mean, I've fought, scratched, and clawed my way to the top of every mountain I've had to climb. Jumped over every hurdle thrown at me. Said 'F.U' to the politics and promoters who tried to tell me what I can & cannot do. But even through ALL of that ? I feel as if... there is still one missing piece to the puzzle.
Silly me (laughs to himself). Sorry for ranting there. I should learn to be a bit more courteous. How have you been, Lauren ? Are you and your daughter doing okay ?Genesis caring and being compassionate about another human being ? Seems impossible to hear doesn't it folks. But when it came to Lauren. He felt that she was the only person who could truly understand how he feels and where he's coming from.

Lauren smiled as it wasn’t a hostile face but a friendly one, a lot of things had happened since Lauren’s brief stay in New York. Some good some bad but she had made it through them.
“My daughter is fine she’s with my husband in Los Angeles and just recovering from an operation, I am not sure if I told you that she didn’t have fully functioning vocal chords.
So when I go back to LA I’ll be expecting to hear the word mommy.”
Lauren smiled as she finished that sentence before she gave Brandon a quick look up and down, and noticed his tie was slightly crooked but she gently straightened it for him.
“There you go Brandon
You are looking great yourself, and you look a little bigger…
In the right way of course, not saying you are fat in the least. So I am not sure if I work out more than you but either way I am sure we both do what we can to ensure we are at the top of our game. Even if we aren’t always the center piece of our organizations we just like to look good and if I can be the judge I’d say we are doing a fantastic job.
Like you I am also here to meet with Shane Andrews.”
Lauren glanced down at her papers before looking back at Brandon.
“I guess we can walk there together just makes sense to me.
About New York my head wasn’t really there and as you have probably heard from wrestling sources if not from me, my life was a complete mess and well I thought throwing myself at men would solve it but it didn’t and I am sure you understand as much as I do that from that prospective the timing wasn’t right and well it wasn’t to be sorry.”
Lauren felt really awkward but she needed to say that, she placed her and on Brandon’s shoulder. Then she didn’t really know how to move the subject on from that really.
“Seattle I am sure is a fresh start for both of our careers, and like you said it’ll be nice to give something back to the industry that I love and has been so good to me over the years.
I am sure this new adventure will be a great challenge for us both.
As for Atlanta I see where you are coming from, and I am still undecided on whether I’ll resign there for 2010 but I guess my being here makes the likelihood of that slimmer.
Tell you what after our meetings shall we go to a bar and have a few cold ones and catch up properly?”

Walking down the hall way at a steady pace. Brandon (Genesis) & Lauren continue there conversation:
Well... if its any conciliation. I guess it was my fault for putting so much pressure on you in New York. I certainly didn't mean to. At the time, I just came back to that place and you were the only real friend that I had there.
But nevertheless, things have changed since then for the both of us huh ? Your daughter's recovering from her surgery. You've gotten 'hitched' since the last time we spoke. We both still have our good health.
I got married about six months ago. Me and well... my now ex-wife had a child together a year ago shortly you left New York. Me and Sabrina got back together and well, it was bitter sweet while it lasted. After the 2nd time of giving our relationship a try. We learned that it just wasn't meant to be. She had our own career in modeling, I was a pro wrestling. Due to our hectic schedules. Needless to say, our marriage went down the drain due to our professions. The only good saving grace out of it is my 2 year old son, Marcus. Quite the handful he is. That haven't seen the 'terrible twos' until they've laid eyes on him.
Its amazing, isn't it Lauren ? How you look at things differently once you have children. How all the old bitter feuds and unnecessary problems we all thought were so important & huge. Both in our careers, and outside the ring. Suddenly become... oh so trivial.
At one time, I was soooooooo wrapped up into my own career that I started putting everything off, and brushed the little things to the side. Like spending quality time at home with family & friends. Going out to parties, watching my son take his first steps.
I missed those things... Lauren. All because of this... my career. Wrestling took over my life. Its something I don't regret by any means. If I did, I certainly wouldn't be here like yourself applying for a job (laughs). But you get the picture. Its a career that, while I enjoy very much. I wouldn't bestow it on anyone who didn't have a clue about our sport. Fact is, I've screwed up alot of times. Unfortunatly, some of my screw ups can't be undone.
*sighs* Tis what happens when you think your doing the right thing. My intentions were good. I mean, I was only trying to provide for my family. But... in spite of that. It costed me my marriage. My home, which she now has back in Atlanta. I had to move back to LA. Its just, been one crazy scenario after the other.
Nevertheless, Sabrina and I Me are on good terms, and were friends. We're civil, and get along for the most part. But... about Marcus though.
She's got full custody of him. She felt that because of my 'job' and my aggressive behavior that I am an unfit parent.
Maybe she's right ya know ? I can't change who I am. Wrestling is all I ever known in my life. THIS is what made me who I am. I just wish at times ya know. Her, her family, and everyone else can see that.
Enough about me and my silly stories (laughs). I'm sure I've already caused you enough boredom for one afternoon.
For what its worth, Lauren. About your daughter. If... things don't work as you plan them to be. Even though she may or may not be able to say 'mommy' out loud. You'll hear her saying it in your heart. She'll know you love her, and will care for every step of the way through life.
They reach the elevator finally. This place was like a maze filled with long hallways, and alot of different rooms.
Damn !
Do you remember which floor Andrew's is in ? I know he told me to meet him here. But he never bothered to tell me where exactly he was it in here (laughs).

Lauren smiled as she listened to Brandon he did seem to open up a little more to her than he did to others, he held some things back naturally but for the most part he dropped the more familiar hard exterior and showed Brandon and less of Genesis. It was nice that she had a place in his heart as a good friend. Lauren thought about the things he had said and she understood he had a wife and son, but it was the first time that he had gone into some detail.
"Marcus that is a nice name.
I know children make you view the world differently, I know I became less selfish and I kind of grew up finally because it was no longer just about me. Well with Tony being there we are as good as a solid family."
Lauren smiled before looking around trying to remember the way to Shane's office.
"I think it is this way if I remember correctly."
Lauren started to lead Brandon down the corridor and continued to talk as they headed to Shane's office.
"Tony has been good to me and sure he probably isn't the best looker but his heart is mine, and mine is his. He has adopted Michaela as his own and now is talking about the future and us. Which is exciting for me.
Also thank you for the kind words about Michaela, I know she may never say those words out loud but in my heart I here it every time I see her."
Lauren smiled as she mentioned her daughter, as every time she was down and out that's who she thought of and things were brighter.

Tony huh ? Don't guess I know this gentleman. I don't mean to sound nosey or anything. But what does your husband do for a living ? Don't take this the wrong way or anything, Lauren. But (laughs) I always pictured you marrying a wrestler.
Brandon (Gen) and Lauren finally reach Shane's office door:
Well, here we are.
*Knock Knock*

Shane Andrews is in his 'new' office, looking over some paperwork for the next season of CWE. It felt good to be back in his own 'driver's seat' after taking some time, elsewhere.
He looks up from his paperwork, as he hears talking outside his door, and then a knock. He wasn't expecting anyone quite this early on, but welcomed visitors anyway, whoever they may be.
He gets up from his desk, and walks over to the office door. He opens the door, to see Lauren and Brandon standing there before him.
"Ah, hello there, both of you. What a pleasant surprise. Won't you both come in?"
He walks over to two chairs sitting in front of his desk, and offers one to Lauren, being the gentleman he is. He then looks at Brandon, and offers the other. Shane walks around to his side of the desk, and takes a seat in his chair.
He shuffles some papers, and puts them into a straightened stack. He then looks up to the two, smiles and asks... "Wasn't really expecting anyone for the next few weeks, at least. But, my door is always open, and I can use a break... so, what can I do for you both today?"

"Hello again Shane."
Lauren says as she enters the room and takes a seat, and in doing so she prepares the papers she has ready to give Shane but first she thought a friendly chit chat would be nice among friends.
"I do believe Brandon and I are both here to discuss our contracts, but maybe we can have a nice friendly catch up before business.
I mean you mentioned taking a break first right?"
Lauren smiled as she waited for Brandon and Shane to say something.

"Yes, yes... a break will be nice, indeed. Haven't had much of one, since the idea of the re-opening of CWE came about."
Shane points over to the bar on the side wall of the office... "Feel free to grab a drink from the bar over there. Water... juice... coffee... even a beer or two in the fridge, if you care for that."
He looks at both Lauren and Brandon... "So, you two enjoying your stay in Seattle, so far?"

Very much so, Mr. Andrews. Seattle is quite the place. Gotta admit, this is actually my first time being in this city. Pretty cozy around here I must say. Seems like I'll enjoy my stay around these parts for a very long time.
No thanks sir on the drinks, though I appreciate you asking me. Brandon takes a seat from here and continues on:I don't mean to sound rude but, if its alright with everyone. Can we get on with the negotiations please ? I believe myself and Lauren has some very important matters that need to be discussed about our contracts.
Speaking for myself here. I'm here to finalize the deal we had discussed about before my press conference several days ago.(OOC: Press Conference Thread ---> xsw316.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=outside&action=display&thread=870) With all due respect to you, Mr. Andrews and your organization. I'm looking to sign a short term deal with you here. Anywhere between 6 months to a year. Just to see where the company is headed and how the talent within' it will benefit myself. And of course, to see what effect having me on the roster has on the organization.
Now, this may seem a bit hard to believe due to my given 'reputation' as a wrestler. I'm here for the benefit of CWE. To help in any way that I can to enhance the product. From its stars, all the way to the companies marketing plans.
Reason being for the short term deal i ask of you is just to see how things go. I don't want to sound negative in saying so. But IF by chance the company should fold at any time. I'd like to be able to pull out of my contract and venture on to other avenues. My hope is CWE will be the real deal, and we can all work together to get the ball rollin' around here to make sure CWE sticks around for a long long time.
You know as well as I do, sir. With a small organization such as this one. We cannot make too many mistakes with this one. One huge mistake could lead to the company going bankrupt.
I don't want this happen. You don't want this to happen. Lauren over here I'm sure doesn't want to see it happen either. So naturally, as both a competitor and as your employer. I am a bit concerned.

Shane looks at Brandon, and smiles... "I understand your concern, Mr. Payne. But, you can rest assured that CWE will be around for a long while. I admit I dropped the ball in the past with CWE, in search of future opportunities elsewhere. Hopefully, with the re-opening, CWE will grow to where it once was, and surpass that mark.
Certainly, with your signing here, that process has already begun."
He nods with approval, and continues... "As for the state of your contract here in CWE... we have an open door policy... and always have.
If you feel better suited elsewhere, CWE does not bind from doing so. I would just hope for the common courtesy, of a written request out of your contract, if and when you wish to leave. That way, suitable plans can be arranged to continue forward without you."
Shane smiles, and continues again... "But, I do hope that you will give CWE a reasonable chance. We have the fine possibility of some great returning stars... and future stars coming in this next season of CWE.
Just keep a 'positive' mind... and you should do well here."

WOW... an open door policy ? That's a new one on me. No written contracts, everything & anything worked out on an open contract/verbal agreement ? Man... oh man. I'm liking the sound of that. That's like having sex with a girl you barely know with no strings attached. *Gen looks over at Lauren. Who appeared to be blushing* What !? It is
*remember New York ?* *As Gen. whispered to Lauren**Gen then quickly turns his attention back over to Shane*Anyways...
I know that to promoters like yourself. I am sure my reputation proceeds me. You've probably heard all the bad that has gone with the good with me. And after all that, you still want me in your organization ?
Never thought I'd say this. But I think I'm gonna like hanging around here. Never met a boss who was so care free and easy going. Most of the promoters I've worked for in the past were too stuck up, or gone power mad.
You have my word sir. I'm going to give CWE everything I have to give, and then some. For once in my career. I'm going to prove that it is possible to take a small promotion such as this one and turn into a mainstream global success.
I feel that with our three minds put together. Yourself, Me, and Lauren. We can make that happen.
I am anxious to start working here soon. Just the thought of NEW challengers has already gotten my red blood cells pumpin' through my veins in excitement ! *Gen says, as he leans back in his chair with a huge smile on his face. As he looks over at Lauren*.Kinda quiet over there, Lauren. How about you and Shane begin discussing your all's plans ? I'm pretty much done here with my business. So... if you both will excuse me. I'll take my leave. *Genesis gets up from his chair at this point*Lauren. It was good seeing you again. I hope you and I can talk more often. Maybe you can tell me a bit more about your family ?
And Shane ?*Gen extends his hand out to Mr. Andrews*It was a pleasure doing business with you sir. I am confident that we will have a smooth business relationship here in CWE. I just want you to know in all truthfulness. I am honored, and proud to be apart of your great organization.

Lauren smiled as she heard the reassuring words coming from Shane to put Brandon at ease.
"I am sure that Brandon you are at ease with all of that, and I understand you wanting to cover all of those important things.
Brandon I will catch up with you later sometime
I am going to discuss a few things with Shane here and probably take a slower pace talking about them. More about my role here again. You know more the ins and outs of the day to day operations."
Lauren stands up and walks over to the bar to prepare herself and Shane a drink, for her it was non-alcoholic, but for Shane she had to ask what he wanted.
"Shane what would you like to drink?"
